Styrofoam print

As I don't have any speedy carve or quickprint foam yet, I decided to improvise and carve into styrofoam (which I got from the bottom of a frozen pizza). I cut out a shape, then used biro to draw, then stabbed with the nib and bottom of the pen. I then used both watercolour and acrylic paint to print. I loved the way the watercolour spilt / seperated and gave a really textures print.

The sample was very simple, but I'm amazed at how effective it was, and how much better it can be! Look at these amazing prints from school kids http://myprintmakingjourney.blogspot.com/2011/10/showcase-of-elementary-school-student.html
